Indian wedding apart from being a biggest task in most of the middle class families also has some tradition and rituals which have been followed by generationg after generation.
The main ritual without which no north-indian wedding is complete both bride and the groom take seven rounds of a small fire which is lit while solomonising the wedding. And after the seven rounds the groom is suppose to put a red powder like stuff called 'sindoor' in the girls middle partitioned hair for about 1-2 inch working its way right through the middle of the head. These two things are like a 'MUST' in order to complete the wedding.
There are many more rituals which are actually followed some of them are firstly, the boy and the girl gets a sandal wood paste rubbed over his body on the day of wedding, in their respective homes, so that he looks fair and is clean and scented to its 'core'. Secondly, the girl generally is mos tof the cases whould wear red color dress as it is the color of prosperity and hapiness in india history. Thirdly, after the wedding the girl has to go back to her place for a brief visit the very next day as this is a custom to welcome the new family into the homes of the native daughter-in-laws place.
I hope , you have got little knowledge of what are the things indian people follow while getting a couple married. Thus, to more about the negatives of all the glitters please read on the next blogs as it rightly proves all the glitters is not gold.
